Bush Practices

It was a bit hectic to night for the practice for the Bush road races.

I think the delay at start of the night was due to lack of marshals, whilst we were all ready to go, it is better to be a bit late and have everything in place.

Along with Stephen Ferguson, Mike Swann and Trevor Ferguson, I was able to show newcomers around the circuit.

Whilst we were waiting I had a laugh when Baylon came over for a chat, and said, “never in my day did I think JB would be showing me around a road race circuit, considering the fact that it was me (Baylon) that you started in racing!!”

When we eventually got out for practice, I felt pretty happy on 250, but was amazed at Davys (Morgans) lap times, we aren’t going to be in the same race here!!.

The superbike seems very sensitive, not 100% happy with the handling here, so few changes to be made for the morning, time ran out for the club to get the 600 practice in, so we will have to wait till to morrow morning to see how we fare on the 600.

I was up for Physio this morning with Fiona, and I must say, that after to nights practice, it’s the best my shoulder has felt since my spill at kirkistown.

Connor Cummins has been more than impressive, he certainly learns quickly,( maybe I should have slowed and let him past!! Instead of showing him lines!), but seriously, he will no doubt be on the pace to morrow, and don’t be surprised if he takes a couple of wins!.

What can I say about Paul (Cranston), on pole, quicker than everyone else, whilst I want to win just as much as the next guy, it would be nice to see Paul top the podium again.

I am looking forward to to morrows race, so lets hope the weather remains dry.

Keep in touch for further update to morrow night.
