Bush 2009 Report
Hi everyone Well what can I say about the Bush apart from I was the Bridesmaid yet again at my home race but I am not complaining, To come home with four 2nd places was certainly not a bad day for me ,and if it wasn’t for Ryan I would have had a cracking day….!!

Reading articles since the race, it seems that Ryan and Michael were the only ones to break the outright lap record in the Grand Final, Well in practice on Friday night both Ryan and myself were inside the 600 and big bike lap records so we were not hanging about, plus during the Grand Final on Saturday, i managed to break the existing lap record again.
It’s a pity we didn’t get a dry day as I believe the racing would have been a lot closer at the front, but the weather is out of our hands and all credit must go to the Dungannon & District MCC for a well run meeting and especially to George Young the Clerk of the Course or running an efficient meeting.
Away from the modern day bikes I had another 2nd place on the 350 classic which had been brought over from the UK by Steve Caffyn of CSC racing so many thanks to Steve for that. All credit to Nigel Moore for getting the better of me in the closing stages of the race, unfortunately for me the Honda stuck in second gear a few times which slowed me up and brought my winning streak on the classic to an end.

Well the circus moves on this weekend and were was off to Athea in Co Limerick which is not as close to home as the bush, but nevertheless it’s always an enjoyable meeting down there and going by the forecast we can be expecting to be using slick tyres which will be a treat. I enjoy the circuit down there so let’s hope I can get myself back on the podium again.

As we all know the new Armoy race is getting under way this year in Gods own country of Road Racing, I have been invited down to their Press Launch on Tuesday morning and hopefully get a look round the circuit while I am there.

It isn’t easy for a new club to get started, and get a new road race going, and if i can be of any help to the club, i will certainly do my best.
Thanks to everyone who called around to the race truck last weekend, and also to those who purchased tickets for the wee minimoto, it is always appreciated.
