Frohburg Road Races 2007 Preview
Hello to everyone again, I know there wasn’t any racing for me at the weekend, but that doesn’t mean, there wont be any updates on the website, I will do my best to have we bits of news now and again, You may have read in my Killalane report, that I was hoping to do another meeting before the end of the year, In fact I was hoping to do Macau, but it aint the easiest place to get an entry! unless your name is John McGuinness ! Although at the moment, I am down as a reserve rider for a team, so its fingers crossed, but I reckon have a better chance of winning the lottery!! This year, there are less teams and riders going out to Macau, and this is why the original option didn’t work out for me.

Over the past few weeks, Laim Quinn and myself had been talking about going to Froburg, in Germany on the weekend of the 28th and 29th(sept) So, In comes the help of our Dutch friend, Gert, ( For anyone who hasn’t met this guy, let me tell you, he is a real ambassador for the sport, road racing in his blood!), anyway after a few e mail’s to Gert to make a few enquiries regarding entries etc, I can glady say, that is all now sorted,(Thanks Gert)., We are taking my truck out, loaded with two 600s and two superbike machines ,so I am really looking forward to this, as it will be my first ever race on the continent!, and it will be a different way to round off the season.
Gordy Taylor is making the trip with us in the truck and the rest of the lads are flying out on the Friday. We wont be stuck for home company, as quite a few of our home lads will also be making the trip, namely ; Victor Gilmore, Adrian McFarland and the Dunlop’s, Robert, William, Michael and Not Forgetting Sam the Man! ( MGP winner Sam Dunlop that is!) No doubt, the craic away from the racing should be good.

It seemed rather strange , not having any racing at the weekend, with not doing Scarborough, it gave me the weekend of, so the garden had to get some attention, I have to admit, I am still picking thorns out of my hands!!, maybe I should stick to welding!
Well done to Ryan on his 2nd place in the Gold Cup race, but hey, that Guy boy takes some beating round there these days, I think that’s five years in a row he has won that race !well done man.
Till the next time, Take care
