TT 07 Tuesday Practice update

Practice is well underway for this years IOM TT, with John McGuinness setting the pace with a lap of over 128mph last night, Guy Martin was next best on 126 plus.

Our man, John Burrows is, in his words, Struggling!” I have to admit, my shoulder is giving me problems, however I managed 5 laps last night, with my fastest lap at over 115mph, whilst I reckon a 117 mph lap was on the cards, only I had to stop in Ramsay, as the radiator started to boil over.

Freddie Gallagher, a valuable addition to the team for TT Fortnight

This year I have Freddie Gallagher (who in the past was crew man for Seamus Greene) helping me along with my normal crew, Simon has been here since Friday, whilst Steven has just landed in this morning, no doubt more helping hands making it  a wee bit easier on everyone.

Simon workin Hard

The weather was rather unpleasant on Saturday night, as I took my first few laps around the course, Monday night was a bit better, but rain began to close in, nevertheless, I done 4 laps, but having said that, I was not happy with my performance, As my shoulder was giving me problems, I contemplated flying back home to see Doc John Hinds, for a check over, but I couldn’t get a return flight, so I had to put that on the back burner!

Since I arrived, I have been receiving physio treatment from well known manx TT racer, John Barton, I get a session in the morning, and half an hour before practice, so a Big Thanks to John for his help .

Anyone for a fry!

As I mentioned earlier, Freddie Gallagher is helping me here on the island, Over the years we have been good friends, and just a few weeks ago, Freddie phoned me to say he was coming to the island for a fortnight, would I like a hand?, so it is good to have the Donegal builder in the team for the TT.

At the moment, the lads are putting foam on the tank and seat, to try and make  my riding poisition a bit more comfortable

Simon is on a high this morning, he must have had a good night in Colours last night!, good to see a man happy at his work to day!

As we speak, the lads are all flat out getting the bikes ready for to nights practice, where I will be taking the superbike out for the first practice.

Don’t forget to keep up with Johns progress , with additional reports tomorrow!.
