John Burrows Update, Friday

You are now talking to a much happier John Burrows!, last night proved a turning point for John, Thanks to physio from Johnny Barton, along with the extra seat padding put on by Stephen, John has been feeling much more comfortable, and his times certainly showed, with a lap of just under 120mph!.

However, it hasn’t been all plain sailing, the Superbike has been overheating, whilst the superstocker, the rear suspension is a bit soft, whilst on the 600 , he stopped at Ramsay , to tighten a loose footrest, but, despite a slow lap here, John was pretty well satisfied with his lap.

I enjoyed the scrap with Laim and Les (Shand), and pleased that i was able to get past them

John Burrows;” To day, we are going to  change the gearing on the superbike, we need a new 6th gear cog replaced, on the Superstock bike, we will harden the rear suspension, whilst the 600 will get checked over along with the others, the Boys will be busy to day.

On the superstock machine, suspension a bit soft

I enjoyed a good scrap on the road last night with Laim Quinn and Les Shand, and was pretty happy to have got past them.

Oh and by the Way, Happy Birthday to laim, 52 to day I Believe!! ( 44 actually, he just looks 52!)

After Practice we went to china town for a meal, John McKeown and his wife Roberta joined the crew, Simon, Stephen and Freddie, on the way back, Simon had to get to Colours (again!!), , so we stayed there for a while, when we arrived back at the Lorry, opened the awning, we tripped over a guy , sleeping in a sleeping bag!, Guess Who, It had to be Phil Archer!!

Yesterday, Simon and Stephen done a lap, a lap of the Southern 100 course that was, on their bicycles , still, they had to ride from Douglas, well done lads, good to see yous keeping up the Burrows Fitness Regime.

Couple more helpers this morning, Raymond Davison and Philip Hodgett arrived, no doubt things will wise up now!!!

As you can see flies were a bit of a problem

Going to have to get the Camp tightened up later to day, as the Boss is on his way back, I am going to airport later to collect Hugh Murphy.

Scott leathers arrived with another new set of leathers this morning, these leathers have a wee bit more shoulder and arm room, so I hope this will also help, So a Big Thank You to Peter and Jim for their excellent service.

Ted from Shark Helmets has been in, he is keeping my Helmets in tip top condition, Thanks Ted.

I am looking forward to to nights practice, lets hope the weather stays favourable, better go and do a we bit more work, Thanks.”
